GPOYW - the Saints won the SuperBowl and I watched in Brooklyn edition!
Tonight I went to dinner with my three closest friends in this city. It was absolutely lovely.
They are not perfect. They make mistakes. They hurt my feelings sometimes. But, as is life, I am not perfect. I make mistakes. I hurt their feelings sometimes.
But they love me. And they have good, genuine hearts. Plus, they are fun as hell and they can make me laugh harder than anyone I’ve ever met. I am working on not having such unattainable expectations of the people in my life and appreciating them for who they are.
I am blessed to know these women, through the ups and the downs of life. I am grateful to have them beside me as I celebrate another birthday.
And no matter what happens, that is the bottom line.

To the NFL: New Orleans Saints victory means we're no longer league doormat
Consider this your formal invitation to the Saints parade Tuesday, which will make every previous Super Bowl victory parade look like a long line at the supermarket checkout counter. You can stick around for the unofficial victory parades: Tom Benson in Endymion, Drew Brees in Bacchus, Sean Payton in Orpheus.
Think of it as one of the perks of membership. In New Orleans, football season never ends. It just changes venues.

Double Birthday
True Story. I called Mariel at 6:30 p.m. FREAKING out because I had no idea what to wear. I bought a dress on Friday that was too dressy. My skinny jeans and heels are about 5 lbs away from being cute. All my staple dresses are too big. Disaster. I grabbed this strapless dress from Express that I bought for $10 during Black Friday shopping and a new crop jacket from H&M. It didn’t look that sparkly on the hanger.
Needless to say - not pleased with birthday outfit 2010. Good thing I get a second chance tomorrow night.

I wore this outfit to two amazing birthday celebrations— a dinner (and DELICIOUS margaritas) at Centrico for Kendyl and drinks for Adam!

If this isn’t the most adorable fan in the world!!! My sweet friend Ashley’s baby girl Lilly is cheering for the Saints from NYC! And with that, I’m off to Brooklyn to cheer the Saints to victory!
Birthday loot included Tracy Morgan’s autobiography, a BumpIt, real silverware, a vegetable chopper (from Lemon), and an iPhone (not pictured). While these may be the MOST perfect gifts I have EVER received, I’m a LITTLE worried that I’m creating an image for my self that can only be described as SUPER CLASSY.
And yes, I have been using plastic silverware since I moved out at 18. True story, don’t judge.
this is how i decide.
i’m not a huge NFL fan.
to be honest, i didn’t watch the NFL really until i met the doctor.
i am a college basketball and major league baseball girl.
football is not my forte.
but this year i’ve gotten into it.
and since there is no team for me to logically root for (nobody local, etc)
i have to make some decisions.
i like payton manning.
he seems like good people.
he’s clutch.
i like drew brees.
he’s very gracious.
and he’s hot.
so it boils down, for me, to which town needs it more.
if there is a championship game between, say, LA and pittsburgh, that’s a no brainer.
throw the old steel town a fricking bone.
ditto to detroit, cleveland.
these are cities in decline. they could use a win, any kind of win.
i don’t have to belabor the point when it comes to new orleans.
the city has been through hell.
and if the saints could bring a championship back
to the superdome, of all places
i think that would be pretty spectacular.

YESSS!!!! Also, in other news Chad Ochocinco became my new favorite NFL player this past year, so his support means ALMOST as much as Kim Kardashian’s!!

Confession: I was a tad bit nervous that after all my campaigning to get my friends/family across the country to send Isaac a card, that I would forget. :) But I didn’t and so off to Utah it goes!
Smile Friday - My coworkers organized a surprise birthday luncheon complete with Chipotle for everyone edition! We didn’t celebrate individual birthdays at my last job and I LOVE IT!!
